Recently, I just got back from New York City, and let me just say it was probably one of the worst trips. This was due to the fact that I was so sick, kind of ruined it for me. Traveling while sick is never fun or good. However, even though I was sick I had this awesome hotel to room to stay in while I suffered through it. Legit though. This room was so cool, Yotel the coolest hotel in New York City if I don’t say so myself.
As you can see, the bed is at 90 degrees so that there is more room to walk around. Stereotypical New York City, the room was incredibly small, but they worked with the space they were given. One push of a button beside the bed and it would flatten to a bed. Since I was sick it was really nice to be able to sit up in bed with support and read.
While this room was very small the luxuries were still there. The glass shower was absolutely amazing with a waterfall head and amazing shampoo and conditioner. My hair was so happy! Now I am not a super eco-friendly person, I do my part to recycle and not be wasteful. However, I was really excited to see that they had full bottles of soap instead of the wasteful little bottles. Personally, I think it allows for higher quality soaps to be used.
You can see there is a curtain to separate the bathroom, and so I would highly recommend that you do not stay with someone you are not familiar with, if you know what I mean. While there is a glass door on wheels that can separate the toilet and shower it is still glass so just a warning. Hopefully you aren’t traveling with strangers though.
Really though, overall this hotel is the coolest hotel I have ever stayed in, and I do not know if another hotel will be this cool. The only really weird part about the Yotel hotel would be that you enter the hotel on the street level. Once inside you can check-in at a computer screen with your conformation number before heading into the elevators and going up to the lobby. Then you have to transfer to another elevator to actually get your room, or as they call it “your cabin”. A little odd to me, but other than that an amazing hotel for the bargain of a price I got at.
