You’ve decided that as a family you are going to Cedar Point, either for a fun weekend or maybe for a conference like BloggyConference. Why should Hotel Breakers be your first choice for your fun weekend awaiting you? For starters, they recently remodeled in 2015 and the whole place has a new face-lift.
Their rooms are spacious and up-to-date with bright colors, mini fridge, TV’s, and more! I stayed in a room that could sleep up to six, with two queens plus a pull out couch.
My biggest fear about being alone was seeing a bug and having to squish it myself, I am not a fan of bugs. During my entire stay not a single bug. The room also had a balcony where I could see rides as well as part of Lake Erie if I turned my head to the left. My favorite part was having total control of the temperature in my room because back in my apartment it is always hot to the point that if I don’t refrigerate my chocolate chips they will melt. At Hotel Breakers it was perfect and I could adjust it to meet my needs.
I am always worried about noise level and being able to sleep when at hotels, but my stay was so quiet that I could fall asleep and not be disturbed even once. I do know that there was a family with children next door to me but I never heard them make a peep.
They have a variety of restaurants on the property to meet any picky-eater in your family.
- Perkins for all day breakfast and lunch
- G.I Friday’s with a plentiful menu for dinner options
- TOMO Hibachi Grill if you are looking for a show to keep the kids entertained along with a meal
- Starbucks for those drinks we can’t live without
- Surf Lounge Rotunda Bar
- Dominos could be ordered and delivered to your room
Depending on how fast you walk one of the entrances to the park was just a mere five minutes away. This was convenient especially when a sporadic rain storm let loose drenching anyone in its path, the hotel was right there to run back to. It is also good if you forget something and have to go back, it is not a far hike.
I arrived at Hotel Breakers around 1:45pm and my check-in was not until 4pm. Having been up since 3am and desperately wanting to take a nap I was extremely grateful when they informed me that my room was ready and awaiting my nap! Well, she might have just said the first part. Anyway, I was able to get into my room and take a nap within 10 minutes of pulling up to the hotel.
Not only are the rooms amazing and large in size, Hotel Breakers has many restaurants to choose from, along with its proximity to the park entrance. The staff was polite in the hallways and always ready to answer any questions, as I kept getting lost in my tired state. Just remember Hotel Breakers as you book your next trip to Cedar Point as they can make life easy for you, as you are trying to wrangle your family together for a fun weekend.
