Just the other week I made a trip to Los Angeles, my first trip to California in my life. Choosing where to stay and where to eat was incredibly hard due to the fact that the greater Los Angeles is extremely large.
So Many Choices
Do you want to stay in Hollywood, Downtown, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Long Beach? Where is the best place for you?
Finding that hotels were cheaper outside of downtown Los Angeles that is where I placed my focus. I decided against Hollywood because it seemed too secluded to one side of Los Angeles and I wanted to be able to hit Long Beach. After much research I decided on Hotel Hermosa in Hermosa Beach. It was only 30 minutes away from Hollywood, about 30 minutes from downtown L.A., less than 30 minutes from Long Beach, and about 15 minutes from the airport. Hotel Hermosa is really in my opinion centrally located if you are wanting to hit many different locations besides just downtown L.A.
After reading tons of reviews on the hotel, I took other individuals advice and paid a bit more for a courtyard facing room. I also dislike first floor rooms in hotels since they tend to be nosier. Let me just say my room was on the first floor next to the pool table on the outside area and I heard not one person. Neither outside my window nor on either side of my walls, it was probably one of the quietest hotels I’ve ever stayed in.
As someone who is gluten-intolerant I was in the land of gluten-free options, I about died when they handed me a gluten-free menu at one restaurant. For more detailed reviews on the restaurants I went to check it out here. To see the gluten-free treats I had during my trip, here is my detailed review on those.
